🔄 Focus Loop

Multiple Anti-Cheat Focus Sessions connected with strategic breaks for sustained productivity

What is a Focus Loop?

A Focus Loop is a sequence of multiple Anti-Cheat Focus Sessions connected by strategic breaks, designed for sustained deep work over extended periods.

Core Principle: Sustainable productivity through planned work-break cycles that maintain high focus quality throughout the day.
Session Independence: Each Anti-Cheat Focus Session within a Focus Loop is completely independent. Never carry over planning data between sessions. Each session requires fresh planning decisions.
Why Use Focus Loops?
  • Cognitive Recovery: Breaks prevent mental fatigue
  • Sustained Performance: Maintain high POF scores across sessions
  • Long-term Goals: Tackle complex projects requiring extended focus

Focus Loop Strategies

Project Continuity
Important: While you may work on the same project, each session must be planned independently.
  • Work on the same project across multiple sessions
  • Break large tasks into session-sized chunks
  • Note stopping points for next session
  • Re-plan each session independently
Category Variation
  • Mix different work types (Deciding → Doing → Defining)
  • Balance creative and analytical tasks
  • Switch contexts to maintain engagement
Energy Management
  • Start with high-energy tasks
  • Monitor POF scores for fatigue
  • End loop when quality drops

Focus Loop vs Single Anti-Cheat Session

Use Focus Loops When:
  • Working on complex, multi-hour projects
  • You have 2+ hours of uninterrupted time
  • Pursuing deep work or flow states
  • Building daily productivity streaks
Use Single Sessions When:
  • You only have 25-45 minutes available
  • Handling quick, discrete tasks
  • High-interruption environment
  • Low energy or late in the day
